Job Title: Tax Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll assist with client consultations and serve as a subject matter expert for our educational content and student support.

Responsibilities:
• Provide tax consultations and support to our student and client base
• Stay current with IRS, state, and local tax laws and updates
• Answer student questions related to tax concepts and practical scenarios
• Collaborate with the course creation team to provide input on curriculum and real-life examples
• Help test and give feedback on tools used by students and tax pros

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on tax preparation experience
• PTIN required; EA or CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of individual returns (1040) and small business returns (Schedule C, S corps, etc.)
• Comfortable communicating via email, chat, and Zoom
• Passion for education and supporting the growth of new tax professionals

Compensation:
Hourly or contract-based depending on experience, with performance bonuses

Job Description:
We are hiring a Tax Course Creator to develop engaging and accurate online tax training materials. You will create courses on topics ranging from basic 1040 returns to advanced business tax, ethics, and IRS compliance.
 
Responsibilities:
•Research, outline, and develop IRS-compliant and/or CTEC-compliant tax courses
•Write course content in an easy-to-follow, conversational tone (no fluff, all facts)
•Include real-life tax examples, scenarios, and case studies
•Create course quizzes, final exams, and supporting materials
•Collaborate with the review team to ensure course accuracy and updates
•Convert tax updates and technical changes into plain-language content
•Optional: Record voiceovers or video lessons (only if comfortable)
 
Qualifications:
•At least 5 years of tax preparation or tax education experience
•Prior experience creating CE courses is a major plus
•Familiarity with IRS Circular 230, AFSP, and CTEC standards
•Excellent writing skills with a knack for breaking down complex tax rules
•Attention to detail and ability to work independently
•EA, CPA, or CTEC registered preferred but not required
 
Compensation:
Per course or project-based pay, with opportunity for long-term contracts and royalty-style payouts for top-performing courses
